If you have been following my blog, you’ll have picked up that my hubby is a determined guy who is nice, has a good sense of humor, and is highly organized. What he doesn’t like to do is go shopping and think about gift things much. He really is quite hard to shop for especially since he sticks only to needs.

Finding a website that can assist in making an organized approach to Christmas shopping is something that is right up his line of thinking. The questions almost always go in this order. What do you want for your birthday / Christmas? His answer is to change the topic, start working on something, or say “nothing.” Well, it wouldn’t take too much for me to set up an account at GiftStasher and ask him to toss his ideas of things he would truly want in there.

That website is literally an updated and online version of the traditionally layaway system but for all stores on the web. Some people also can call it a gift registry or whatever the fancy names are for a “get me these things” list. It sure beats getting 5 blenders for your wedding or 4 packages of tube socks when you are already using a milk crate to store the other ones in.

GiftStasher.com makes complete sense for the standard Bridal shower, Baby shower, wedding shower, and if you want for Christmas likely something for your shower stall as well. You sign up for an account, let your family and friends know about it and let it up to them. That way there isn’t an excuse when you get a nice decorative chair covering that you’ll never use in your life.

How much does it cost? How do they make their money? We do not have to worry about it. There is no charge to us as the service they provide increases sales for other websites. I’m certain they get a kickback on the sales they help to generate.

What do we want for Christmas? GiftStasher.com would be great for listing out what we would want if what we wanted was something that could be bought from a store. What I want for Christmas though has nothing to do with money or things and all about family and the future.

The greatest Christmas gift would be for the doctors to tell me that someone so dear to me is going to live longer.

Thank you,

Anah
