One of my visitors emailed me a series of curiosity questions. Here are the questions and my answers for them. I’ll toss in a few extra for the fun of it.
How long have you lived in the US?
I’ll group that answer in my age. As for my age, I am older than 15 and under the age of 70. My birthday this year will make me one year older than my birthday this year. Similarly, 2009 marks my being in the USA one year longer than I was here in 2008.
Where are you from in the Philippines?
Gensan City, Mindanao Island (Home of Manny Pacquio)
How come your family is still back home?
This is a loaded question but you have mostly answered it in your own question. My family is still back home because it is home.
A more detailed answer is based on the reason I just went back home. There were a number of medical issues to be addressed. Combine the medical issues with USCIS Immigration rules, lack of desire for them to come here to do much more than visit (maybe someday?), and the questionable status of the durability of the USA, they will remain at home. It also doesn’t help that the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the hopefully defunct Abu Sayyaf were headquartered on the same island making for greater travel restrictions put out by the US Dept. of Homeland Security.
Any plans to visit?
I just got back a couple weeks ago. It was good to be home but I missed my hubby. Loads of details but they’ll all stay with me.
Do you have a Flickr? Are you on Twitter?
The answer to both of these are no. I use Plurker but time is a precious resource so that I’m lucky if I use once a month. Between work, researching for this blog, marriage, my daughter and her homeschooling, and more, my time is a bit sparse.
Why don’t I share more details about myself on this blog?
The answer to this comes from my research before diving into this blog. You make more money writing about topics that a larger reader base will want to read. The quantity who will want to read about my life is about the same as those who only want to read about politics.
Thanks and I hope you won’t get tired of visiting my blog.
Happy New Year!

Hi Ate Anah! Kumusta? it’s been a while since I last visited here.
I’m sorry about your bedroom wall. It’s a good thing no one was hurt.
Anyway, I agree. Life is beautiful! ^_^
