That title sounds quite catching doesn’t it? Perhaps you are thinking I will be going into a story about how a Filipina is ignored or taken for granted. Maybe this is about a sad story or two about living life abroad.
Nah, why would I type about a depressing topic like that?
Instead, I am going to discuss the basics of international life as a Filipina. We know how to make do with less money because of our home country. You find your savings wherever you can to make those paychecks stretch.
Whether it is for traveling back to the Philippines, calling your family, getting flowers for yourself (i.e. encouraging your spouse to get them), or getting gifts for your family to be sent in the balikbayan box, you can find ways to get some savings. Now do you want to know the real meaning of “The Discounted Life of a Filipina”?
I’ll give you a hint in that it is about shopping wisely.
