1 Comment May We Never Forget
Seven years ago the world was shocked today with an event that will be known by its date 9/11. I remember that day and the profound grief at the lives of those lost ranging from children to the elderly in this senseless attack. It hurts still today and I’m not fully an American but I care.
My husband recalls the day well but he was already emotionally spent by that day in September due to other trying events in his life that year. His main feeling was that of anger and knowing that the country would be looking for vengeance. Anyone who saw that and knew the slightest bit about the people of the USA would remember their reaction to Pearl Harbor. The giant would be awoken once again and looking for revenge.
This election cycle in the USA requires everyone to get past the petty squabbles and focus on issues not a candidate’s children. The children are not the ones who may have to answer a call at 3 AM, make tough decisions and lead. We all have to focus on who we think will answer the call the best.
People died and a nation and much of the world grieved and was angered. We must never forget it and never allow it to happen again. Instead of focusing on Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and Trig, let our minds be focused on Christine Lee Hanson, 2, David Reed Gamboa Brandhorst, 3, Dana Falkenberg, 3, Juliana Valentine McCourt, 4, Zoe Falkenberg, 8, Bernard Curtis Brown II, 11, Asia S Cottom, 11, Rodney Dickens, 11, Richard Allen Pearlman, 18, and all of the adults who died.
Who will best protect the children from another horror? Remember those who died instead of the mindless bickering and disgusting arrogance. Who will protect the freedoms granted in the US Constitution that made this country great?
Please turn on your speakers as you watch this.
