Major Contrasts in Education Part 2

[ad#inlinkunit]continuation of Major Contrasts in Education Part I…

The curriculum is full of holes as it distorts their heritage and culture. The mathematics taught is so messed up most of the kids quit caring because of the confusion of Every Day Math. The science, history, social studies are all based on changing the values of the students into a set of “desired values” as set by a few opposed to Christianity and not proven scientific or historical facts. Yes, they will omit historical and scientific facts just to promote a different belief but call it “modern education.” A religion is a religion no matter what fancy terms you dress it up in. The public schools push Humanism which is messed up at its core. It also goes by the name “progressive” but the skills and scores are regressive.

Let me point to some who signed the Humanist Manifesto. ..

John Dewey signed the original 1933 Humanist Manifesto and he is known as the father of progressive education which the USA public school system is based on. D.F. Porter signed it as well. Who is he? He is the author of Humanism: A New Religion. In it he writes that “education is thus a most powerful ally of humanism, and every American public school is a school of humanism. What can the theistic Sunday schools, meeting for an hour once a week, and teaching only a fraction of the children, do to stem the tide of a five-day program of humanistic teaching?”

As math and science scores plummet in the USA, blame is pointed elsewhere. I have many co-workers who were raised in the public school system who ask ME the ONLY ESL person at work how to spell words in English!! How on Earth did they get out of school? I’m not from this country and my English skills are better than theirs? Sadly, that is often common.

The answer is the schools here worry more about the “social aspect” and the self-esteem of the child than performance. You’ll be passed on to the next grade so you won’t feel bad or feel out of place. I’m happy the Philippines isn’t so backwards. The intelligent should be pushed as they can lead your nation to great things as scholars, engineers, doctors, honest and smart politicians, and scientists. The guy wearing a jock strap isn’t the future of the nation. Here the hero is whoever can throw a ball well on Sunday afternoon and not the father who quietly sacrifices to keep his family honest both fiscally and morally. They have been successful in promoting Humanism in the schools without anyone telling the truth of what has happened.

I hope this will help some parents or future parents focus closely on the educational choices for their children. We’ve settled on the Christian Liberty Academy School System or CLASS. We’ll be staying with it until she graduates from high school. It is a tough curriculum we can trust.

Thank you for reading,

Anah
