PC Sarcasm – Christmas Edition
Written by Anah in Wednesday, December 24th 2008
There is a disease in this country that is ripping it apart from within. It is a disease that is quite common in the USA and I could only speculate as to the cause. The disease is political correctness. My guess is it comes from an incredibly over protective government that won’t let anyone’s feelings get hurt thus over-regulates every little aspect of life whether or not it has the legal [+]
Happy Veterans Day 2008
Written by Anah in Tuesday, November 11th 2008
Thank you to all those who volunteered to give their time and protect us in the service of the country. May those who have made sacrifices never be forgotten. It is with your lives, your limbs and your blood that we are able to express our opinions today. May we never forget what you have given to all of us.
Applebee’s is also offering free dinners for vets. Info here. ( I got this info [+]
Sunday Segway
Written by Anah in Sunday, November 9th 2008
From Josh Groban, we will watch him pass the baton to another singer that is a favorite of mine. That singer is Sarah McLachlan.
That song brings me to this song that has so many positives and a touch of sadness as it sometimes played at funerals.
Just so we can all compare, here is a slightly different version of the song she sang with Josh Groban. With this, I shall let you [+]
Dead Man Walking
Written by Anah in Saturday, November 8th 2008
Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Karen Carpenter, and Charice are all solid singing role models. Since I left off yesterday’s post with Josh Groban joking that he was a “dead man walking” because of following Charice, I think it is only fair that I have him follow up Charice here. :D
This first song is something that I hope to follow with my actions both here and back at the Philippines. Each [+]
Charice Update
Written by Anah in Friday, November 7th 2008
Charice is at it again. This time at a charity event called Carousel of Hope devoted to raising funds for combating diabetes. In order to get in, you had to pay $10,000 or half a million PhP to get in per ticket.
I become more and more convinced that the Philippines has a truly untapped resource that can be presented to the world and elevate the Philippine standings internationally. [+]
A Few Minor Hints
Written by Anah in Friday, October 31st 2008
Knowing your wildlife is an important thing.
Oh, those aren’t kittens. Black with white stripes and a bushy tail means 4 baby skunks. I wonder where their Mommy is.
In this next one, I can see the confused person at the vacuum cleaner be me someday.
The guy in red would eventually be my Dad, my brother or my husband. They would all do something like that. The [+]
The Funniest Summary of Issues
Written by Anah in Thursday, October 16th 2008
I was debating about going into a lot of issues that have bugged the heck out of me regarding this election cycle in the USA. Because of delays at the USCIS, I am not able to vote this election and I am a spectator. Instead of my going into them, Senator John McCain did. Now there are a few reasons why I am including his 15 minute comedy routine here. [+]More From Vested Wisdom
