This is just a little post to let everyone know more is coming. I’ll be much more consistent after the finishing touches are done on this place.

Until then, I will part with a few little tidbits that I or my hubby have seen and wondered about.

The first question is just something I have wondered about. I have no real answer for it but it does beg for someone to answer it.

The swine flu vaccine or the H1N1 vaccine that has been developed and heavily promoted here in the USA is created by growing it inside of an egg. A vegan is an individual who holds to the belief and practice of consuming no animal product whether it be meat, milk, eggs, or whatever.

The question: Will a vegan get the swine flu vaccine when it was grown inside of an egg? Can they do so and still call themselves a vegan? Can a vegan justify getting a vaccine shot that contains the tissues of aborted babies or would that be deemed cannibalism?

Why is it that so many people who comment on an article do so without fully reading or comprehending the article? An example comes in this article about Merck trying to get approval for the “vaccine” Gardasil for 9 year old boys to help guard against cervical cancer in women. Doesn’t make sense? Welcome to the USA.

When you read the comments, you wonder what grade they got in Reading class in school. Here are some details to compare up against the commentary. Gardasil may protect against a few strains of the 40 versions of HPV provided it doesn’t cause your death (27 cases) or stroke, blood clots, cardiac arrest, seizures, fainting, lupus, or paralysis some of which happened in 10,000 cases. It hasn’t been properly tested for a series of things such as cancer causing potential, impairment to fertility, or mutating the DNA. The writer is proposing that funding for a simple Pap smear test would be a far better , less invasive, and non-lethal option. The commentators started ranting about abstinence and cheating spouses. Hello?

Yup, it makes total sense to give a vaccine to 9 year old boys for women’s cervical cancer that may kill the boys and the girls that get it and still not cover much for long. Sure. Yeah, right.

The last bit comes from my hubby who was driving behind a delivery vehicle from the company Ralph’s Hardwood Floors. It makes for a very good lesson that when a business opts to go online and have a web presence, it is very important to make a solid choice for a website and domain name. We humbly submit the website for this company as an example of what happens when you don’t fully think it out.

http://www.ralphshardwood.com/

You’ll get the embedded joke soon enough.

Ahh Life is Beautiful!

Live well and make it a great day!

Anah

I really like listening to the Carpenters and singing along with them. But right now, I feel for the carpenters as this economy makes it tough to listen to their hammers at work. Supposedly, it is all turning around. We are told that now is the time to pounce on the homes with the assistance of the Federal Government through their $7,000-$8,000 first time home buyers handout.
I would strongly advise against it for two reasons. First, read the fine print. You’ll find the poison pill in that offer is a big one. Second is you would be acting prematurely.

The foreclosures and the pain is not stopping any time soon. It will get worse and the prices of homes have to keep on dropping. The first wave of foreclosures were the speculators who invested in housing in hopes of getting their money back. When the spiral down started, they were left holding the bill and defaulted. The second wave are those who were given loans they never should have been given. We can thank the USA federal government for screwing it up. But now is the Coming 3rd Wave of Foreclosures. What are they? The third wave are the victims of the rapidly growing unemployment issue.

Currently, the USA unemployment rate is considered to be 9.4% on the conservative side. As this article delves into, a more realistic number is 16.4% when everything is factored in. I have seen or heard of many hard hit in this area between my two jobs (one virtual, one at the office). They just can’t pay all the bills. To make matters worse, the mixed and chaotic messages coming out of Washington D.C. are paralyzing the business field. Businesses have to plan for the future through yearly budgets and long term projections. They can’t when threats are of increasing taxes, greater burdens of health care coverage costs, and the lethal Cap & Trade. Quite simply, they have to err on the side of caution to maintain a profit margin. That means terminating employees or not expanding. Sure a few companies are expanding but many are forced to shrink or sit in a wait and see pattern.

One thing that has to be pointed out is the likely 4th wave of foreclosures if the Cap & Trade massive tax increase goes through. Some reports say it will cost each household $3,000 to $8,000 more each year because of the increased costs of everything. Also remember, tax credits do not equal cash in pocket. What it will do is push many couples or household living on the financial edge over the edge despite their employment status.

This doesn’t cover America’s Retirement Crisis that is getting worse with all of this government intervention into the private sector. Those investors that are demeaned by the President and media are often those in charge of the pension plans for companies or public servants. Combine that with the looming Baby Boomer retirements and subsequent downsizing of their homes and you have the making for a major housing mess.

What do I recommend? Be like a wise businessperson. Wait until all of the insanity settles before making a move. We are. I’ll leave you with one more point to ponder. It is based on the Law of Supply & Demand and the excessive spending in the USA of the last 20 years.

Many consumers have figured out a basic principle in money management. Don’t spend more than you have. Live within your means. For too long, many in the USA lived life by digging in debt. It is time to pay the bills. The nation will be better when the politicians figure that out as well.

Thanks for reading!

Live Well and make it a great day,

This is the best explanation the Economic Stimulus I have found that anyone should be able to easily understand. Thanks Gordon for forwarding this information to us.I urge you to read…

Shortly after class, an economics student approaches his economics professor and says, “I don’t understand this stimulus bill. Can you explain it to me?”

The professor replied, “I don’t have any time to explain it at my office, but if you come over to my house on Saturday and help me with my weekend project, I’ll be glad to explain it to you.” The student agreed.

At the agreed-upon time, the student showed up at the professor’s house. The professor stated that the weekend project involved his backyard pool.

They both went out back to the pool, and the professor handed the student a bucket. Demonstrating with his own bucket, the professor said, “First, go over to the deep end, and fill your bucket with as much water as you can.” The student did as he was instructed.

The professor then continued, “Follow me over to the shallow end, and then dump all the water from your bucket into it.” The student was naturally confused, but did as he was told.

The professor then explained they were going to do this many more times, and began walking back to the deep end of the pool.

The confused student asked, “Excuse me, but why are we doing this?” The professor matter-of-factly stated that he was trying to make the shallow end much deeper.

The student didn’t think the economics professor was serious, but figured that he would find out the real story soon enough.

However, after the 6th trip between the shallow end and the deep end, the student began to become worried that his economics professor had gone mad. The student finally replied, “All we’re doing is wasting valuable time and effort on unproductive pursuits. Even worse, when this process is all over, everything will be at the same level it was before, so all you’ll really have accomplished is the destruction of what could have been truly productive action!”

The professor put down his bucket and replied with a smile, “Congratulations. You now understand the stimulus bill.”

Thank you,

Anah

This is the short form of the Economic Stimulus that is being talked about extensively. So for those who are not a fan of long and boring details, here is the summarized version.

The government went on a large spending spree promising retirement incomes and health care to the people for the sake of buying votes. (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid) Then they proceeded to take all of the money from those programs as they didn’t know how to stay within a budget. It didn’t take too long before an entire generation and more did the same thing.

Many individuals in the USA started off their adult life with a student loan. Before that debt is paid, additional bills were added on by running up credit card debt. They get out of college and get their first job and a car loan. When they get married, there are 2 student loans, 2 car loans, and 2-5 credit card debts. So the obvious thing is to get a house with a home loan and a boat with a boat loan. Then to afford the runaway spending, they get a second mortgage on their house for yet another loan. They didn’t notice they were up to their eyeballs in debt.

To make certain everyone had a “fair shake”, the government required all banks go give home loans to those who had no ambition in life, made little for income, and had a track record of not paying their bills. Then they made laws making certain the banks and the mortgage industry couldn’t lower the prices to what the market said they were worth. The banks and the government continued down this foolish path and sold these soon to be bad debts and spread the dumb ideas around to hurt the global economy.

Now, those who had a tendency to not pay their bills didn’t pay their bills when the cost of gas spiked. Due to the geniuses in Congress, they made food more expensive so they could “reduce pollution” when all they did was make it worse. The rest who are in debt up to their eyeballs have now woken up and realized they can’t continue living like that. With companies cutting back so they can survive, people have to cut back to survive as you don’t know when your company is going to get hit.

So what does the “Stimulus” do? About 90% of it is Congress and the President taking the taxpayers’ dollars from this generation and future generations and giving it to their supporters. They are only stimulating their control on power. The remaining portion will make few if any jobs.

If you listen to the media, the government and the media think the “stimulus” will get the citizens spending again. They keep repeating the same phrase. Spend more!! Spend more!! (Katie Couric on tonight’s news broadcast.) The taxpayers are broke. We have to focus on survival because Congress can’t stop spending our money. (Somehow they think $13 a week will get people to buy $20,000 cars and $1000 digital TVs.)

All they are doing is repeating the steps that led to the Great Depression. This is why we study history. We do so to not repeat the bad choices. Government control of economies ALWAYS fails, but you can’t teach the idiots in control that. And they wonder why they have approval ratings reaching single digits.

This is just a summary of all that I’ve written about over the years in the Health & Wealth category. It is painfully obvious to anyone who works hard and tries to pay their bills. But don’t take my word for it. Try these guys regarding the TARP bailout and the so-called “stimulus.”

For some background information, try It Will Get Worse and Stimulus Spelled Out.

The long form of my comments on this “Stimulus” is included in 3 parts below.

The media is bragging about the $ billion dollar “economic stimulus” that is supposedly needed immediately for the purposes of “saving jobs and saving America’s economy.” They talk non-stop about how it will create jobs for all of the infrastructure projects.

Either they are clueless or lying. Read the bill yourself. The safe conclusion is they aren’t total morons and the President, Congress, and most of the American media is lying through their teeth. It is $1.1-$3.27 trillion dollars and counting in utterly useless spending.

Total amount that can be argued as economic stimulus:
$20 billion for business tax cuts
$40 billion for broadband and electric grid development, airports and clean water projects (better if done by private sector)
$30 billion for roads and bridges,
$9 billion for public transit and
$1 billion for inter-city rail

Add that up and it tops out at $90-$100 billion. (*Note: None of those projects would even start for 3+ years realistically.) So what about the remaining $719 (or whatever the number ends up) billion then?

Here is how some of it is being spent.

$83 billion for the earned income credit for people who don’t pay income tax (Take from those who work hard and give to the lazy.)
$20 billion to increase food stamps, (Same thing.)
$81.2 billion for Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments, (When the programs are almost bankrupt already, let’s take the nation down with them.)
$11.2 billion for housing assistance programs administered by HUD, (Giving money to those who can’t afford a house normally taking from those who are responsible.)
$36.1 billion to increase unemployment benefits, (Won’t be enough as they’ll be making certain nearly all are unemployed.)
$13.3 billion to increase health insurance for unemployed workers. (At the expense of those working…)
$11.1 billion for other unemployed compensation. (What the heck is “other” unemployed compensation?)
$1 billion for Amtrak, the federal railroad that hasn’t turned a profit in 40 years; (Good example how they think business should operate. Throw lots of our money at failed concepts. Heck, they had to outsource their restaurant because it was going under by the guiding eye of the government. They even had a whore house once and that went bankrupt.)
$2 billion for child-care subsidies; (This is for all of the children they didn’t manage to murder with abortion.)
$50 million for that great engine of job creation, the National Endowment for the Arts; $400 million for global-warming research and another (Need more money to prove a non-existent problem.)
$2.4 billion for carbon-capture demonstration projects. (Gotta get rid of that one thing that plants need to grow.)
$1.2 billion for environmental research (Likely didn’t like the first set of answers so they need to buy different ones. When the government is the financial supporter of the grant money, you know the scientists value their careers and paychecks enough to fudge the measurements to fit what the politicians holding the purse strings are saying.)
$650 million on top of the billions already doled out to pay for digital TV conversion coupons. (Yup, they are telling everyone what kind of TV to buy – and taking our money to fund it.)
$600 million for Universal health care project (Let’s see, run a railroad profitably? Nope. Restaurant? Nope. Whore House? Nope. Pay their taxes? Nope. Run Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid with a savings system? Nope. Of course they’ll get health care for all right.)
$600 million more for the federal government to buy new cars (This is for plug-in cars that do not currently exist in the USA. So much for that Buy American aspect.)
$7 billion for modernizing federal buildings and facilities (This isn’t an annual budget item? This is a given expense which they can’t figure out. Wonder if the prostitute house went bankrupt because of a leaky roof.)
Smithsonian is targeted to receive $150 million (Smithsonian is a museum. Big job creator here – not.)
$54 billion will go to federal programs that the Office of Management and Budget or the Government Accountability Office have already criticized as “ineffective” or unable to pass basic financial audits
$66 billion more for education with some $6 billion of this will subsidize university building projects. If you think the intention here is to help kids learn, the House declares on page 257 that “No recipient . . . shall use such funds to provide financial assistance to students to attend private elementary or secondary schools.” (Wait, there is more. This also is a breach of the 1st Amendment as it encourages discrimination of religious groups.)
$75 million for smoking cessation (But smokers are supposed to subsidize the S-CHIP universal health care being made available to illegal immigrants)
$1.5 billion for a “carbon-capturing contest” (Naturally, Congress thinks it can regulate nature by aiming for a non-pollutant. Reductions in this would amount to the width of a hair in a 100m race. Someone needs to tell them the #1 greenhouse gas is water vapor. If the vast majority of politicians held their breath for 2 days, the world would be a better place.)
Coast Guard wants more than $572 million for “Acquisition, Construction, & Improvements” They claim these funds will create 1,235 new jobs. Crunch the numbers and this brings the cost of “creating” each job to $460,000+
$400 million for HIV and chlamydia testing (Must be trying to revive the whore house of the past.)
$25 million is for recreation maintenance, especially for rehabilitation of off-road vehicle routes, (Riding small motor cars on dirt roads for fun. This obviously is a massive need in a near-depression.)
$20 million is for trail maintenance and restoration (Need to keep them pretty.)
$200 million for DoD plug-in car stations which comes to about $3700/car (For cars that don’t exist in the USA nor are they produced here.)
$300 million for grants to assist American Indian and Full Committee Print Alaska Native tribes in criminal justice efforts in tribal communities
$218 million for National Institute of Standards and Technology to increase competitive grants for external partners to perform research and measurements in support of NIST’s mission (Someone has to buy all of those rain gauges to measure how much water is leaking through that roof of the whore house.)
$4.19 billion pot of money for “neighborhood stabilization activities.” – i.e. ACORN (Those involved in extensive voter fraud issues that just happen to have amazing turnouts of dead people voting for Democrats.)
$246 million in new targeted tax breaks – for Hollywood (Whoohoo, this one got axed. But doesn’t it make sense that ultra rich directors, actresses, and actors need a financial break?)
$24 billion for “green jobs” (non-existent or based on tech not yet invented)

All this and more adds up to $ billion (and growing) which is to be repaid by 2020. But wait, there is still more. The interest on the loan is about $345 billion for a grand total of $1.1 trillion for $100 billion used for job stimulus in 3+ years. All this is payable by the taxpayers, namely us and our children.

It doesn’t stop there either. This “economic stimulus” also pushes through the creation of a national medical database on each person documenting abortions, mental health problems, impotence, non-compliant patient labels, lawsuits against doctors, your sex life and more so it can potentially be sold to the highest bidder. What to you get? More junk mail and manipulation.

What does the President who is pushing this say?

“We can’t embrace the losing formula that says only tax cuts will work for every problem we face; that ignores critical challenges like our addiction to foreign oil, or the soaring cost of health care, or falling schools and crumbling bridges and roads and levees,” Obama said at the retreat in Williamsburg, Va.

Did you see anything listed that addresses anything he’s talking about? Also, he really isn’t paying attention to the world much. Ireland has a booming economy. Why? Less spending and massive tax cuts are the answer.

To quote an old American phrase: “Liar, liar, pants on fire.” Does this stimulate the economy? No. Does it minimally breach the 1st, 2nd (see House Resolution 45 that is attached to this monstrosity), 9th, 10th Amendments as well as the articles of the Constitution? Oh yeah and it has pissed many, many people off.

You wanted Change. Washington DC is changing into something far worse than the Philippine government ever has been. The Third Reich comes to mind.

It is my opinion but I think the US Federal government has gone off the deep end – nabuang na, nuts, crazy, or insane.

There are 1.9 million farmers in the USA and 200,000 large commercial farms. The 1.9 million farmers that obviously make a tremendous amount of food are in danger of being put out of business by the Federal Government. Why would the USA government due something so suicidal to the food supply?

The answer is because cows and pigs fart.

I’m not joking. The Environmental Protection Agency has ideas of taxing farmers based on the number of cows, cattle and pigs they have because of the insane and disproven idea that cow and pig farts cause global warming. (Let’s overlook that it isn’t warming and CO2 has nothing to do with it.) I’m not kidding.

If the farmers can survive, then a basic fact of the marketplace kicks in. The taxes and costs are always passed on to the consumer. So when times are tough, we need to put farmers out of business and make food much more expensive so we can combat cow farts. The Federal Government doesn’t factor the rising cost of food into their inflation index. So they’ll stare blankly at increased foreclosures and wonder why people aren’t spending more money on useless junk. We hear it now. …

“Buy more, spend more money!”

Except people like to do silly things like purchase food, pay their mortgage or rent, get all the forms of energy needed, reduce debt, and some pay for day care.

Of course the most obvious thing, while the government makes life harder to live, is to have the government spend us into oblivion to fix the economy in ways that have no chance of working. When the world is in a global recession, our manufacturing base is in pieces, the main economic driving force (the Baby Boomers) are retiring, we should obviously spend immense amounts of money we do not have nor can recover. But hey, FDR did it so why not do it now?

The best argument is because it failed miserably the first time. But who cares about history and what the entire world knows! Let’s do it anyway and maybe this time Einstein’s definition of Insanity will not hold!

How do we know it flopped badly? History tells us at the end of FDR’s second term the economy was getting worse, unemployment at over 20% and the Treasury Secretary of then gave the best answer.

“We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. And I have just one interest, and if I am wrong … somebody else can have my job. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises. … I say after eight years of this administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started. … And an enormous debt to boot.”

But hey, that’s the past. Let’s give it another crack while we tax the farts out of farmers.

Nakakaloka!

Thank you,

This entry is to focus on the unfunded entitlement programs that so many are depending on being around to save their rear ends financially.

Social Security which has actually done the opposite and made the society much more unsecure financially combined with Medicare and Medicaid at the federal level. At the local levels, we have food stamps, energy assistance, housing assistance, welfare, and whatever other programs the individual state has.

Since I have already written on these to some degree, I would recommend going back and rereading and following the links contained in Social Security System Part I and Part II. Also read up on what the top accountant in the USA is saying as well in Checking the Books. I will also refer you to Preserve, Protect, and Defend which are the key parts of the oath of office all of the politicians take. But they lie on the campaign trail and lie while in office so expecting them to care about their oath is foolishness.

When the law makers, law enforcers, and judges of the law, ignore the main law in the Constitution, what is left of a nation when those who have their positions granted to them by the main source of law refuse to follow the main source of the law? You have traitors supporting crime.

What crime? In regards to entitlements, they are enforcing large scale theft. Since the Constitution only has provisions for spending money for the entire population, taking money by force from those who work for it and giving it to those who do not is theft. When you are the victim of it like ourselves and many we know, tensions form quickly when you personally know some who go out of their way to live off of welfare or the money taken from my paycheck to be given to someone too lazy to get off their rear and get their own. (Sorry, personal commentary as seeing half of my paycheck gets taken away, given to those who are lazy while struggling to meet the bills because we’re working hard really pisses me off.)

Peter Schiff and Gerald Celente are in total agreement with the top US accountant. I will put his extremely important comments here again.

For those who think it is a good thing to redistribute wealth from those who have it to those who don’t, that system has failed every time all throughout the history of mankind. It doesn’t work and leads to bankruptcy. Furthermore, those it failed in did not start near bankruptcy like the USA is so close to now.

When the money dries up like it is projected to by the US top accountant, Schiff and Celente, what will those who do not work do? I grew up in poverty like many Filipinas and know it takes hard work to stay alive and get ahead. What can you expect from those without the necessary experience?

Thanks much,

Anah

This part of the Summary of Schiff and Celente focuses on the (un)intended consequences on the prosperity of the nation. Let me clarify why I have the “un” in parentheses. I am not willing to declare the actions of the US Congress, Presidents, and the Supreme Court to be or not be intentional acts to guide the country to where it is today. I will point out the options. The Federal Government has been guided into near ruin which would make such actions high treason or it is the result of sheer incompetency and arrogance or a combination of both. You can decide.

Using a recent example, the automotive companies are back for yet another bailout. So they run to the Congress for bailouts when Congress is the one guilty for setting burdensome vehicle standards on the automotive company that undercut their ability to be competitive in the global market. Congress tampered with a market they had no business in. Not surprising to anyone, the US automotive industry is failing. When you have the Federal government now saying that it must not fail, you have the recipe why much more will fail.

What made the nation great were the people, hard work, creativity, innovation, and the freedom to fail or succeed based on your efforts. Congress and the Federal government didn’t make the country great. They were charged with making certain contracts were upheld and the people were safe from external forces.

As this writer points out in their opinion piece, the Federal government likes to call their intervention “social engineering.” However, their social engineering always fails. We have seen this in the health care industry in many ways, automotive industry, and any industry or aspect of life the Federal Government illegally interferes with such as public education. Why anyone expects the Federal Government to fix the economy, health care and the rest is beyond me. If you have dental work and the first dentist is incompetent and creates many more problems, you go to a different dentist to fix it. You don’t go back to the same incompetent dentist in hopes that they might have gotten a clue. That’s insanity. If you do the same thing, you will get the same result. If you do that, you don’t have the right to whine and complain. Do something.

Because of the actions of the Federal Government and the same thinking being done at the state levels and personal finances, we know and the rest of the world knows America’s Broke. What Schiff and Celente are observing and predicting is exactly what is happening. Instead of repealing the restrictive laws and butting out, the government will continue the intervention and the bailouts making it far, far worse. The Congress and President have now added $7 trillion more to the $53 trillion our children and grandchildren are expected to fork out because of our selfishness and lack of control. It cannot be sustained. This country will go bankrupt like they are predicting.

When the nation turns its back on responsibility, accountability and basic self-governance, we would be complete fools to expect anything less from those who make the laws or work in the bureaucracies. If the individual is taught not to govern themselves, why then would we trust a collection of those individuals enhanced by the corrupt nature of government to care one bit about us and tend to our medical, education and other needs?

I will leave you with this quote from a Founding Father.

“A general dissolution of the principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy…. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but once they lose their virtue, they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader…. If virtue and knowledge are diffused among the people, they will never be enslaved. This will be their great security.” – Samuel Adams

Thanks,

Anah
