West Bend Really Isn’t That Big

Anyone who has read my blog knows me, my hubby, and daughter live in West Bend for now. There is one minor detail about West Bend, WI. It isn’t that small and it isn’t that big. To be specific, it isn’t that big to make it to many online lists which tend to the bigger cities like Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, Los Angeles, Buffalo and the like.

Or as my Dad says: “Isn’t West Bend part of Chicago?” Well, West Bend is closer to Milwaukee than other places but it still isn’t big enough to register. That is fine by me. All those evil doers out there will have a harder time finding it on a map or driving here. That is the joy of smaller cities. You can’t find me nyah, nyah. Okay, having just a little bit of fun with that.

The plus side of the big cities is more companies cater to the needs of trying to find things in them. As opposed to just trying to find the small cities much less destinations in them, it can often be more difficult to find a local place in a big city just because they are so big.

How do you find such local places on the Internet? Well, there are local equivalents to want ads, classifieds and the like. All it takes is for you to click on one of the local links for you to do a search and find the right city you want to go to.

As for me, I’ll stick with my small towns tucked in the middle of a small part of the USA. Hopefully, only a few more trips are left for me to a big city or two. I’m certain I’ll make use of a certain local website.
