The USA is Catching Up To Filipinos

It seems second nature to a Filipino to walk around with their cell phone text messaging their parents, friends or whatever. Going out on a date in the Philippines means you are never alone as you are required to continue with the text messaging status checks.

As my hubby commented on his visits to the Philippines, the cell phones are almost continually beeping and going off. He even started to pick out the differences in ringtones depending on if it was a text message or phone call. It actually is rather funny from a point of view.

Well, the people of the USA are starting to catch up on the usage of cell phones and text messaging. It is starting to become more commonplace to see people with their cell phone on their waist starting to beep, ring or go off. It is still mainly used as a standard telephone by many but the text messaging is rapidly increasing in usage.

Capitalizing on this rapid shift, companies like SJA Mobile are now providing services to both the consumer and companies interested in marketing endeavors. Almost all of it rotates around the usage of text messaging using PDA’s or cell phones.

Of course this including marketing using ringtones, wallpaper, applications and many other marketing tools that anyone with much knowledge in cell phone usage is well aware of. Additionally, the company unlocks the ability of the consumer to more directly in the marketing and sales process through reverse auctions, text voting (used in many reality shows) and even fan interaction.

Enough of me talking about it though, give it a look and see if it is right for your business marketing needs or not.
