Spreading the Wealth

Am I going to go there? Yes, I am. Am I for Senator McCain? No, I am not. Am I for Senator Obama? Absolutely and in no uncertain terms, I am not and never will support the stuff he promotes.

Spreading the wealth” or the redistribution of wealth or income has absolutely no place in the USA for many reasons. Why am I so certain of my stance? Initially, I questioned if it was an okay reason or not until my hubby pointed a few key things out to me.

First, we wouldn’t be married if that system was in place. My first home was bamboo walls, coconut leaves for the roof, and dirt for the floor. We didn’t stay there as my parents led by example that you strive to improve your situation in life. You don’t sit there and whine for a handout. If my parents were paid to live a standard socialist/ communist/ or “spreading the wealth” life, I wouldn’t have made it to college nor gone through the experiences that have made me who I am today. Those experiences are what led to my finding my husband. Without them, I wouldn’t have been a woman he would have married.

Next, he remembers very clearly how the communist or socialist nations fell in the 1980’s. Socialism/ communism do not and have never worked in history. It has ALWAYS FAILED. The USSR or the United Soviet Socialist Republic, the Soviet Bloc, was poorly structured from a monetary standpoint. The government can’t take care of the people when the source of income does not meet the need. China is moving away from the communistic or socialistic economic system as they’ve finally learned that it destroys your ability to compete in the global marketplace. All that is fairly recent history but four hundred years ago in 1640 socialism was attempted in what was to become the USA. Within 3 years, the Pilgrims had attempted such a system only to find that the good idea on paper was instead a total disaster. Read up on it in William Bradford’s Of Plymouth Plantation.

Why does it fail? Socialism ignores some very basic aspects of life. The 80/20 rule is the primary rule ignored. Because every person is different and has different attitudes regarding work ethic and financial responsibilities, the 80/20 rule always applies in everything in life. Twenty percent of the people will do 80 percent of the work. The other 80 percent slack off and do little or nothing to make up the remaining 20%. Also, 20% of the people end up with 80 % of the wealth. It happens that way every – single – time. In my life, I know of a few individuals that just blow any money they get. Others keep it and only get the basic needs. Others still have the business mindset and generate it thus collecting most of it. The socialist system ends up taking 80% of the money and transfers it to the 20% who think they are the controllers or the elite. It never ends up “fair” or equally distributed.

So now we have Senator Obama who has said both in 2001 and in 2008 that he believes in the redistribution of wealth. Watch the video here. This person who wants to break the “constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution” is now supposed to take this vow: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

He has also promoted a Second Bill of Rights that sounds identical to Articles 40-42 of the Constitution of the USSR – the same country that failed because of socialism.

Someone who wants to destroy this nation is supposed to take an oath to uphold the laws he is on record of disdaining? That is insane. So is the Democrats plan to take over everyone’s 401k plans and steal the retirement money from everyone. They did that before and called it Social Security. Now they want you to pay in 5% more to the same ones that blew the Social Security Trust Fund.

It is no wonder the USA is being warned by former Hitler Youth to wake up before they completely follow the path of Nazi Germany.

I’ve lived my life and the lessons from it tell me the Bible is correct and these other concepts are dead wrong. In 2 Thessalonians 3:6-15 the method of distribution is clear.

“If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”

If you are an able bodied person or have skills usable in a dinged up body, earn your keep. Some may think this is cruel. I call it motivation. I’m sick of those who think they are entitled to the fruits of my labor when they do nothing. The government should butt out.

Anah
