Money Matters

Since my last post was a bit long, this one will be a bit short. Well, this topic does not take a lot of commentary so that is the main reason why it will be short.

In a magazine that I have no intentions of giving traffic or recognition too, they ran the title to one of their main articles on the cover. The title was

“Are Your Parents Squandering Your Inheritance?”

I didn’t have to read much to get inspiration for this post.

I’ll respond to their title’s question with a question of my own. If you are reading that magazine article, are you 18 yrs old or older? If so, then the following is for you. If not, then you will eventually be over 18 and it will still hold for you.

“Are Your Parents Squandering Your Inheritance?”

Answers:

  1. If you are over the age of 18, you are now an adult.
  2. If you are over the age of 18, you are now on your own.
  3. If you are over the age of 18, your parents do not owe anything more to you.
  4. No, the money is not yours. You didn’t earn it.
  5. No, your parents earned their money. Quit whining and earn your own.
  6. No, they had to put up with you for 18 years. If they want to go on trips  using their money that they earned, that is totally their prerogative.
  7. No, they may need that money later for medical issues.
  8. In case any of the 1-7 answers are unclear, I will summarize. If you are over the age of 18, get off your rear, earn your own and quit being a lazy whiner.

Any questions?
