Mid Afternoon Snack Break at Work

When the end of the day approaches after a long shift taking tons of tiring calls, sometimes I just need a bit of a pick me up. To prevent from adding on the pounds, I would rather focus on healthier options and that jug of water sometimes gets a bit old.

With another catch to the snack break is the snack needs to have a decent shelf life as it will sit in my desk drawer until I have the hunger for it. So looking at healthy snack bars brings me to debating what kind would best suit me and my needs while at work.

Carbohydrates and fats add to the pounds but protein does not so that brings my attention to high protein bars. All it has to do is fill me up for a while. An additional bonus is if I can get an additional boost of energy provided that the protein bar is also all natural energy bar. Then I am set for the day until my head hits my new pillow for the night.
