In this Tuesday Health and Wealth segment, I’m shifting my focus over to those who are running a business. Now I haven’t fully traced what all of my readers do for income generation but I do know several business owners in the Eastern, Mountain and Pacific Time Zones do listen in.
At the core of any business is generating a profit off of the goods or services that you are providing. Unless you have extensive connections to ensure your profit margin, you will need a method and a solid business plan on figuring out who you are providing your services to.
Depending on the scope you are aiming for, you might get by with just local contacts. But if you have an existing business that you desire to expand, then it is imperative you acquire the information to use. This information does not come cheap or easy either. Running a business takes time and you likely do not have the time to focus on the marketing efforts by trying to secure data for a marketing campaign.
For this, it is important to turn to the professionals who track data for you. Whether this is consumer data, data on businesses, or lists of known buyers that will respond, you will need to buy a mailing list.
With my husband having spent the better part of 4 years in the sales lead generation and data scrubbing area, we know just how time consuming this work is. Getting to the proper decision maker is often tricky and calling endless numbers of out of service or fax lines that leave you deaf from the shrill tone in your ear eats up your time and money better spent on the actual operation of your business.
