For anyone that has worked for a company, there is always the one department that is feared, loathed or treated very carefully. That is the Human Resources Department. The HR Department is well known for the termination of any individual that is not performing up to specifications. They also receive in the applications for open positions and strive to place the most qualified candidate for a position into that job opening. They have to know the job opening very well in order to know what is required for it. Then they have to discern what is fact from fiction on resumes and the overall body of work of the applicant before making a final decision.
What seems to be lost on many Americans is that as the people of the USA, we are the HR Department of the government. We determine who gets hired and who gets fired. The number one cause of termination on most jobs is incompetence. But to declare someone incompetent, all of us need to follow the guidelines set forth for proper determination of who should stay and go. After all, HR Departments are under regulations.
What are our regulations and guidelines? Where are the job descriptions and resumes for us to look at? There is this silly thing called the US Constitution. All the job descriptions are on there for the President, Vice President, Representatives, and Senators. This means all of us to be responsible citizens need to know the US Constitution and not what someone wants to tell us what it means. We then review the voting records, resumes, and overall body of work of a candidate for office to see if they are qualified for the position.
Since the biggest buzz right now is the Presidential race, I’ll give an example of how this works. The office of the President means they are the head of the Executive Branch and the Chief Commanding Officer. They have to enforce the laws and direct the military. Now we have to review the candidates and see how well they understand the job duties and do their words and deeds match up and fit the job opening.
For this, I will pick on Hillary Clinton to begin with. In particular, I will use her words found here. The overall topic is her position on NY Governor Elliot Spitzer’s idea for giving driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. You will see by extension why Mr. Spitzer is not qualified for his post now.
First, her stated position on the topic:
“I broadly support what governors like Elliot Spitzer are trying to do.”
Okay, consider the following as well:
But finally I do not believe we can resolve this problem unless we bring people out of the shadows,” Clinton said, adding that undocumented immigrants should have a pathway to citizenship but they’d need to register, pay taxes, pay fines, learn English, and wait in line after those who’ve come to the United States legally. Those who have committed crimes, she said, should be deported.
“But I was in Des Moines [Iowa] yesterday, and I had three people come up to me and say that they had been hit in automobile accidents by undocumented workers, and they said ‘what are we supposed to do? We’re the ones that were injured. Our cars were damaged, and we get no relief because these people have no accountability, there’s no system that requires them to have insurance or anything else.’”
Now let us examine this carefully. As many have pointed out there is a key detail she is missing. “Undocumented immigrants” is just another way of saying ILLEGAL. They have committed a crime already and should now be deported. Remember, it is the duty of the executive branch to enforce the existing laws. These include the Immigration laws. Her statements are not reflecting well on being qualified to enforce the laws.
Regarding the three people she quoted, quoting those three as justification for her stance of supporting ILLEGAL immigrants reflects a lack of understanding of the job duties she is applying for. In particular,
“we get no relief because these people have no accountability, there’s no system that requires them to have insurance or anything else.”
Yes, there is a system of laws in place. It is called the IMMIGRATION LAWS which makes those unaccountable drivers ILLEGAL immigrants.
Requiring ILLEGAL immigrants to get insurance is like trying to pass a law saying all criminals should obey the law. DUH, if they followed the law they wouldn’t be criminals. If the ILLEGAL immigrants followed the law, they would be LEGAL immigrants.
So as my part of exercising my required HR duties, I have concluded that Hillary Clinton by her words is not suitable for a position of enforcing the laws of the land when she is unaware of what the word ILLEGAL means. Rejected!! Next applicant, please.
