Do We Use These?

Outside of a particular pineapple and other fruit processing company that is rather large in the Philippines, does anyone know if a company there uses roll forming equipment?

Technological advances never cease to amaze me in their complexity and efficiency. So what exactly is roll forming?

Roll forming is basically the process of using a specially designed machine to produce a part or parts of a product that needs to be built or assembled. This ranges from parts for appliances, cars, fences, air conditioners, shelving, metal buildings and much more.

The specially designed machines are known as rollformers. To me these are amazing pieces of automation especially when used with 3D Computer Aided Design software. The tech lover in me just cannot get enough of these new advances and striving for an understanding of how it works.

Come to think of it, there are a couple of guys my hubby and I know that might use some of these machines and processes. We will be meeting up with them for a group study tonight so I just might have to pry their brains for details.
