Challenge Time

No, this is not a challenge for you but it is for me. The reason why is due to the topic of this post. The topic is about precast concrete and a little detail of my marriage.

Precast concrete is a method of producing those concrete objects we see the road crews installing into the road whether it is water mains, sewage, or any number of previously made items used in heavy construction. Outside of precast concrete septic tanks, most of these products are for large scale use and not the home consumer.

Now why am I under a challenge and where does my marriage factor into this? Well, I married into this category in a way. My mother-in-law knows all about these precast concrete items as she worked for her local county transportation department. So I need to do a very good job on this post in case she reads it.

For the rest of this entry, I need you to close your eyes and visualize what those road construction crews were installing into the ground when you last drove by them. Do you have it in your mind? Now click on the link and see if you can find it.

If you are looking into getting into the construction field, this is a good place to start studying the products you will be dealing with. I think I’ll be dreaming of storm drains, dry and wet wells being installed on the opposite side of those concrete highway barriers that make me so nervous when I drive next to them.

Ah, it shall be a fun night having abstract dreams of concrete.
