A Sensitive But Straightforward Topic

I was encouraged recently by a sermon from the Pastor of the church we go to. He expounded on how we need to be involved with bringing people to Jesus Christ. And he wasn’t meaning the trying to acquire a Christian from a different church to go to our church. He was very clear on go out into the world and associate with those who are not Christian. We live our lives in the world and should talk to people and get to know them without judging the person.

One of the categories of people I’ve seen a lot of Christians shy away from talking to or inviting to the church are those who pursue the homosexual lifestyle. To me, if they are not a Christian, they are not a Christian. Really, it’s none of my business if they choose that kind of lifestyle. In fact, when I was in Philly nakakatuwa nga mga bading eh diba? I’ve had friends who were not interested in the other gender. That’s fine. And those who pursue that lifestyle should be approached here to be given something to ponder.

How many of those who claim to be Christian and take such a hardened stance of opposition are without sin and in a position to judge the person? So please, do not judge the person based on their lifestyle. Instead, approach them, talk to them and invite them.
