Who Am I? You’ll just have to read all of my blog entries to get to know me a little bit. The intent of this blog is not to be an online diary or autobiography but to be informative of a variety of topics with a focus on the differences between life in the Philippines and in the USA. What we were told life is like in the USA is not what it truly is. I am from the Philippines which is “Home.” I now live in the USA with my husband in my new home. Do I love one country over the other? I love my family first. Where they are is my home.
So when you read my blog, I’m not the “normal” Filipino, a “normal” American or a “normal” immigrant per se. I will be giving you the information I have gleaned straight up and without much bias. Am I negative about the USA? Nope, I hope to be a citizen here and help the nation improve to respect the foundations that made it the goal of immigrants everywhere. But I am enough of an outsider to be able to tell things as they are. As it stands now, the USA is changing quickly and may not be the destination it once was. Please keep your mind open and realize Change is the only constant in life (in the secular sense). The world is changing both for the better and for the worse. The USA and the Philippines are no different in that respect.
